Description
The Myo Rapid Quantitative Test is designed for the quantitative detection of Myoglobin (Myo), an oxygen-binding protein found in muscle tissue. Myoglobin is released rapidly into the bloodstream following muscle injury, making it a highly sensitive marker for early myocardial damage. Elevated levels can appear as soon as one hour after myocardial injury, allowing clinicians to identify potential cardiac events at their earliest stage.
Although Myoglobin is sensitive, it is not highly specific to cardiac tissue; therefore, it is often used in conjunction with CK-MB, cardiac Troponin, ECG, and clinical assessment to support accurate diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
With a small sample requirement and quick reaction time, this test is particularly suited for emergency, ICU, cardiology, and critical care settings, where rapid cardiac biomarker detection is vital for patient management.
