Description
The Biotime PRL Rapid Quantitative Test is designed to measure Prolactin (PRL), a hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary that stimulates mammary gland development and lactation. PRL levels increase during pregnancy, peak at delivery, and fluctuate during breastfeeding. Abnormal PRL levels may indicate pituitary tumors, hypothalamic dysfunction, primary hypothyroidism, or other endocrine disorders.
This rapid test provides a convenient, low-volume serum-based solution for evaluating pituitary function, sexual development, and reproductive health. It is often used in combination with FSH and LH testing for comprehensive hormonal assessment in women. The test is suitable for laboratories, outpatient clinics, gynecology, endocrinology, and reproductive centers.
