Description
The Biotime LH Rapid Quantitative Test is designed to measure Luteinizing Hormone (LH), a critical gonadotropic hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. In females, the LH surge triggers ovulation and supports the formation of the corpus luteum. In males, LH stimulates Leydig cells to produce testosterone, acting in synergy with follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
Abnormal LH levels may indicate hypothalamic, pituitary, or gonadal dysfunction. The LH test is used in conjunction with FSH measurements to evaluate ovarian function, assess reproductive health, and monitor endocrine therapy. The test is suitable for laboratories, outpatient clinics, gynecology, endocrinology, and reproductive centers.
